2018 - Cathy Spahr for PA House 160

Cathy Spahr felt the call to activism back in 2016, after the election of Donald Trump. She founded an organization called We Speak for the Trees, which uses the Dr. Suess book "The Lorax" to advocate for the environment and for those without a voice. We Speak for the Trees collects copies of "The Lorax" to give to elected officials with hand written messages from their constituents in the book. She invites parents to join her and bring their children so that the future generations can learn how to advocate and communicate with their elected officials.

Cathy has also been a member of her local Indivisible group since February of 2017. She helped restart the local Democratic Committee in her township as well.

Cathy is now running for State Representative in PA's 160th house district against Steven Barrar. She wants to bring her real life experience with addiction, working in local government, and being an activist to the table to help PA families and speak for those without a voice.
