Action Together NYC provides low-barrier entry into social activism. As a community, we come together to work on projects that help to defend democracy, foster tolerance, and support our communities, both local and national.

ATNYC holds monthly Action Incubators, potlucks, and rally/protest meet ups.  

Action Incubators: Do you find it hard to find the time to make all those calls? Write those post cards? Create posters? Are you at a loss of what kinds of action you can take? Are looking for a community to take action with? Each month, we hold Action Incubators, designed to respond to the questions above. We talk, eat, laugh, learn, and take action...together!

Potlucks: Each month we hold potluck dinners to help build community among Action Together activists in NYC.  We talk about the issues of the day, and how we, as a group (formally, and informally) can take action.  We follow up with our Action Incubators with actions that are in response to our dinner conversations.

Rally/Protest Meet ups: Some activists, new or experienced, frequently want to attend rallies and protests, but may feel uncomfortable going alone.  For major events (like the Women's March in NYC, the Climate March in April, and more) we select a meet-up spot prior to the event. Get to know your fellow activists and join in the fight TOGETHER!

Future plans: ATNYC will also begin hosting MOVIE NIGHTS! We will both host at the homes of our activists, as well as plan outings for movies in theaters.  After watching the film or documentary, we will hold a discussion. The aim is to expand our knowledge and thinking about social issues that impact us and our communities everyday.
