Aktion Freiheit statt Angst e.V. is a registered association founded in January 2009 and based in Berlin, which is committed to civil rights, in particular data protection and freedom of information.

Our commitment to freedom of information included

• the support of whistleblowers like Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, Chelsea Manning.
• participation in the Civil Society Transparency Initiative
• common work in the association for a Berlin Transparency Law

In addition, we have committed ourselves to peaceful coexistence in society i.e. fighting against

• war and armament in the working group "School without military"
• especially the automation of war by armed drones and other autonomous weapon systems
• we saw the consequences of the wars in the refugee movement and are committed to reception and integration
