Associate Judge Aurora Martinez Jones has announced her candidacy for Judge of the 126th District Court!

Aurora is running continue her work in tearing down the school-to-prison pipeline, assuring race equity in our courts, and protecting our children. She will build on the innovation started in the 126th District Court, and she believes it is crucial that the next Judge be a trained advocate who thoroughly understands child welfare and is capable of building on progressive ways the court system can work with families in need.

Aurora is an Associate Judge in Travis County presiding over hundreds of cases on the Family Drug Treatment Court and Child Protective Services dockets. She is Board Certified in Child Welfare Law and is also certified by the National Association of Counsel for Children as a Child Welfare Law Specialist.
