CRYM

We are CRYM - the Climate Radical/Resistance Youth Movement. Based in Naarm on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, we are a group of young people engaging in direct action against the system and fighting for climate justice. We are operating and building on stolen land; we know that the First Nations people of this continent have been in active resistance for over 250 years and pay our respects to elders past and present.

Is CRYM the right space (lifestyle, even) for you? Ask yourself the following questions:

Are you mad/scared/stressed/hopeless about your future in the context of the climate crisis?

Do you feel totally overwhelmed about your individual capacity to make a change?

Do you feel like everything that you and everyone around you is doing will never be enough?

What is the proportionate response to the climate crisis?

Ok, that last one - we'll answer (if you answered yes to any of the other ones, you might just agree with us): CAUSING CHAOS.

Everything that we do as individuals, even as civilian movements, seems wholly inadequate given the scale of the crisis. Climate change is an issue that permeates and exacerbates every existing social issue - and the people in power deserve to deal with absolute chaos for refusing to address it. Sound like your cup of tea?

Join CRYM as we wreak havoc on the streets, from small scale radical grafitti to shutting down the city. And if you just want to hang with cool people - that's cool too!
