Decarcerate Western Massachusetts is a coalition working to secure the release of incarcerated people who are most vulnerable to the ravages of the coronavirus pandemic, to amplify and respond to the needs of prisoners and their families, and to build a future without mass incarceration. Incarceration is always a crisis. Before, during, and after COVID-19 - jails and prisons do not keep the people living inside their walls safe, nor do they make our communities safer.
