The Executive Committee steers the direction of the chapter by organizing events, tending to the administration of the chapter, and addressing the needs of membership.

Co-Chairs (2)

Chapter Co-Chairs share responsibility for overall coordination and operation of the Local, act as primary spokespeople, preside at Local and Executive Committee meetings, and serve as contacts for the National Office.

Secretary

The Secretary records minutes of all meetings and maintains a current list of active and recently inactive members. The Secretary will notify members of meetings, answer correspondence from interested parties, and work to ensure meeting documents and materials are made available to all members.

Treasurer

The Treasurer serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the Local, responsible for adhering to fiscal procedures specified by National DSA. The Treasurer is responsible for deposits and disbursements of chapter funds and ensuring that annual national and local dues are current for each member. The Treasurer will have oversight of chapter purchasing and fundraising activities.

Education Officer

The Education Officer is responsible for the educational work of the chapter. As part of this work, the Education Officer will arrange formal political discussions, study/reading groups within the chapter, and forums to bring in outside speakers.

Outreach Officer

The Outreach Officer oversees and supports implementation of social media, merchandise, marketing, design, and chapter recruitment. The position is also responsible for working with the YDSA liaison and coordinating efforts with the chapter.

At-Large Directors (2)

At-Large Directors, while not tasked with specific committee roles, are expected to lend their skills and time to other committees where possible. At-Large Directors may also assist in the formation of temporary committees or working groups to support chapter work.
