Farmworker Association of Florida

The Farmworker Association of Florida is a 36-year old, statewide, grassroots, non-profit farmworker membership organization with five offices in the state, whose over 10,000 members are African American, Haitian and Hispanic farmworkers who work primarily in the citrus, vegetable, mushroom, tropical fruit, fern and ornamental plant industries. FWAF's main program areas are occupational health and safety, defending immigrants' rights, environmental justice, civic participation and community engagement, agroecology and community gardens, workers' rights and protections, and disaster preparedness and resilience. The organization participates in many coalitions, alliances, networks, and collaborations locally, statewide, nationally and internally. FWAF is also a member of La Via Campesina.
