Holisticism

New York, NY

Our mission is to make the world more intellectually progressive. Religious insanity is a humanitarian issue. Organized religion promulgated with a literalist interpretation of text like the Bible, Koran, Book Of Mormons' and other theological sources (recognized as the truth) impedes free thought. Religion must evolve to reflect modern day science and culture. Our mission is to educate people about the origins of Christianity and the overall evolution of religion.

Among our political positions, Article II Section 1 Clause 8 of the constitution should be amended. Because we are a religiously pluralistic society and considering the women's and LGBT rights movements', "Before the nominee enters into the Execution of office, the president-elect shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:--"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President to the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." The appointee's hand shall not be placed on the Bible, but on the constitution and will swear by the their god, gods, ancestors or and by everything and or anything the candidate holds most dear.

With a pragmatic approach to mysticism, world peace, the primary mission of the United Nations might be attained. Please go to the following Facebook page for additional information: https://www.facebook.com/NewAgeReligion/.

The Electoral College

In 2016 the role of the Electoral College has never been more critical. It failed to produce its intended purpose. Nevertheless, it is necessary to prevent as asserted by Alexis de Tocqueville "the tyranny of the majority." And I also agree with Alexander Hamilton that the office of the president should be "highly guarded" and the Electoral College should exist as a check to ensure a result that is in the best interest of the United States. Our most prominent magisterial post is essential to the equanimity of our political system. We propose that each of the 50 states be allocated 11 electoral votes irrespective of size or population. That results in a total of 550 votes. We recommend that the general election be held in September, allowing sufficient time to tally all votes by November 8th. Clinton's final count in the 2016 election was 65,844,610 and Donald Trump's 62,979,636, and for other candidates 7,804,213, ultimately, the majority of the American population did not vote for Trump and it is ideal that the Electoral College should reflect the will of the people. Therefore, we recommend that the candidate with the most electoral votes be declared the winner, there would be no threshold (as previously determined, the first to reach 270); instead, we shall take the total votes cast and divide the result by the available electoral votes e.g. 136,628,459/550 = 248,415. Each candidates votes would be divided by the subsequent result, 248,415. Every time a candidate reaches this mark, they would be assigned an electoral vote. As a result, Clinton's total would be 65,844,610/248,415 = 265 votes, Trump 254 and others 31. Thus, Clinton would be declared the winner by plurality.

Electors can not be bound by any pledges and cannot submit their votes for any other candidates besides those who participated in the general election, otherwise, they shall be fined $50,000 and sentenced to 7 years imprisonment. The electors must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree, be at least 40 years old and display all the inducements to make a bipartisan and rational decision. The two candidates with the most electoral votes will be assigned electors in the following fashion. Clinton 265/50 = this rounds out to 5 electors per state which equals 250, the additional 15 electors will be chosen from the candidate's state of residency. The Electoral College is outdated and inefficient. Nonetheless, they should exist as guardians of our Democracy. Electors can only be faithless by Supreme Court decree otherwise they will suffer the penalty as previously noted, and again, they can only cast ballots for one of the general election candidates or be "fined $50,000 and sentenced to 7 years imprisonment." If there is a deadlock, then the president shall be chosen by the House of Representatives. If the people are not satisfied by the the House's decision, the case shall be presented to the Supreme Court, once the issue has been fully litigated, the Supreme Court's decision will be final.
