Housing for Holden
We are Holden residents who want to protect our town’s future. Increasing Holden’s supply of smaller units—such as duplexes, townhouses, and small apartment or condo buildings—will help moderate prices and make home ownership more affordable for seniors who want to downsize, young families, our children who want to return home to live, and local employees.
We are Holden residents who believe that we can take local control to designate a multi-family district that is in alignment with Holden’s Master Plan and satisfies the requirements of the MBTA Communities Law. Holden risks losing local control of designing the district required under the law. If Holden does not move forward with a compliance plan by the final deadline for submission (12/31/2024), the state could impose its own zoning decisions without community input.
We are Holden residents who are concerned about the financial toll on Holden taxpayers for our town leaders’ continued non-compliance with the MBTA Communities Law.
