The In Our Name Fundraising Campaign seeks to raise $10 million for organizations that support Palestinian-led efforts to build safety, dignity, and self-determination in Palestine, and that support solidarity and other organizing among Palestinian and other Arab and Muslim communities in the United States. It builds on the momentum generated by an open letter signed by 225 Jewish leaders in philanthropy who sought to oppose the retaliatory defunding of groups vocally supporting Palestine. Such punitive defunding practices not only undermine Jewish values, they also silence Jews and non-Jews alike by claiming that support for Palestinian self-determination is inherently anti-semitic.

In Our Name offers a courageous and principled alternative to the culture of fear and punishment that has become so widespread in progressive philanthropy over the past year. It is an opportunity to practice moral and material solidarity with each other, with our Palestinian siblings, and with all those who believe it is possible to wake up to a day when no bombs have dropped anywhere. In a time of fragmentation, it is an invitation to step bravely into power and purpose together.
