Kandoo /kanˈdo͞o/ (beehive in Persian) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to providing cybersecurity education and services to vulnerable populations worldwide.

Headquartered in Washington, DC, Kandoo was incorporated in 2019 in the wake of what our team saw as an ever-growing imbalance of power when it came to the use and impact of technology. The combination of rapidly growing technology and an endless hunger for our personal and private data is a disaster in the making, and an increasingly prevalent issue in the world today. As security professionals, who first and foremost identify as activists, our experiences working on the front-lines to fight against systematic oppression taught us serious and life-changing lessons about the necessity of taking special care to protect our online security and privacy.

Kandoo’s mission is to empower civil society by providing education, access to information, and developing technological tools. We are dedicated to building a global community equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to become more efficient and resilient in their use of technology, particularly when working towards progressive social change.
