Me Too

‘me too.’ was founded in 2006 by Tarana Burke to fill a void and focus on young women of color who have endured sexual abuse assault or exploitation. We learned few support organizations were equipped to deal with young women of a variety of ages and races, who were victims of sexual violence. The ‘me too’ Movement™ is committed to building a coalition, an extended network, and family of survivors of all ages and walks of life. Survivors understand each other, can empathize with one another, and have a vested interest in the survival and triumph of one other. ‘me too.’ is a movement that brings this vital conversation into the mainstream - helping survivors find entry points to healing and working to end sexual violence.
