Nuclear Free WA is a not for profit environment organisation working with first nations communities, health, union, faith and other environment organisation. We advocate for the protection of our environment, communities and workers from the threat of the nuclear industry in Western Australia. Having fought off uranium mines, nuclear waste facilities and nuclear power we are bracing for renewed pro nuclear lobbying and the threat of nuclear submarines.

In WA there is the ongoing push to establish uranium mines and increasing pressure to host a nuclear waste dump and lift prohibitions on nuclear power. There are plans for US nuclear submarines to be posted off the West Australian coast from 2023 and Australia is yet to fulfil the promise of signing the Treaty to Prohibit Nuclear Weapons. Nuclear Free WA brings all these issues together to advocate for a nuclear free future for Western Australia.
