OMEL-US

Glendale Heights, IL
OMEL-US was started by a group of university students interested in human rights issues and community concerns. We won't stand by the sideline; instead we have chosen to become active and involved in helping the community and people that are under served and underrepresented.

We have created a communication network through social networks and workshops. Projects are generated that benefit the organization and our communities. Through these projects, our organization members are exposed to and experience social awareness, cultural sensitivity, and grass roots community organizing, which helps further support from our communities.

OMEL-US is not affiliated to any political group or organization. We are bipartisan and look to help those in need that are under served by our current political climate and government. From the social problems present in Central and South America, like the 43 missing students from Ayotzinapa, to the effects of state sanctioned violence and the situation of our immigrant brothers and sisters in the United States; we are outraged, we are hurt, and we are motivated even more to to create change at the community, state, and federal level for our people.
