Rise Up Doylestown
Rise Up Doylestown is a non-partisan, grassroots, progressive activist group working
toward beloved community and social justice, racial justice, reproductive
justice and environmental justice organizing in and around Doylestown,
Pennsylvania.
The group grew out of years of collective organizing and activism in our
community and from the organizers of the January 21, 2017 Women's March on
Doylestown. This historic march in solidarity with over 4.5 million marchers
worldwide brought over 2000 people out to march in the streets of our community
for social justice and human rights and against the tyranny and oppression
facing our community, nation and world as the leaders in DC turn back civil
rights and environmental justice in favor of racism, bigotry, oppression,
environmental destruction and injustice.
We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the
protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families –
recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our
country.
Our non-partisan, grassroots group has grown to over 2000 people and has helped to launch both the Immigrant Rights Action Group Doylestown and the Central Bucks JEDI Council (Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion) in our community, as well as strategic organizing and a fiercely positive network of actions and organizing that we are part of and leading in the Doylestown area.
