Safer States harnesses place-based power to prevent harm to people and the environment caused by dangerous chemicals and to create innovative solutions that promote safer alternatives.

We envision a world where chemicals do not cause harm to people or the environment.  We strive for a time when all communities are protected from toxic threats and people, especially those who have been most impacted, have more power and influence in public and environmental health decisions.  

We work directly with state-based advocacy organizations, providing support and strategic guidance to advocates as well as providing the space for national collaboration and coordination.
