Saving Tuvalu supported by Stop Ecocide International
The Stop Ecocide Foundation is the charitable fundraising arm of Stop Ecocide International. We are proud to be supporting the Saving Tuvalu Global Campaign.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if an entire country disappeared before your eyes? What sounds like a fictional construction, is now a raw reality for Tuvalu: an island nation located in the South Pacific, fighting against the devastations of the global climate crisis.
Saving Tuvalu is a global campaign focused on providing humanitarian aid and raising international awareness of Tuvalu's climate crisis. Through an international and an internal team, it seeks to develop actionable and visible projects that provide citizen-based solutions for the improvement of quality of life indexes (learn more about the campaign by visiting its website www.savingtuvalu.org or social media accounts https://www.instagram.com/savingtuvalu/). Our proposed projects include the purchase of photographic resources that allow citizens to portray their first-hand experiences; the financing of long-term desalination plants to address the problem of water scarcity; or the development and execution of the first-ever climate strike in the nation's capital, which will take place soon to amplify the voices of the community.
Stop Ecocide International is the driving force behind, and central communications hub for, the growing global movement to make ecocide an international crime, alongside genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and the crime of aggression. Our work through our Earth Protector Trust Fund involves supporting small climate-vulnerable states such as Tuvalu by giving them a voice and representation at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and and therefore closely aligns with the Saving Tuvalu campaign and we are proud to support them.
