The Shell River Alliance was born from a place of love, anger and necessity. Once a vibrant home for clams and the community who fashioned sparkling buttons, and our sacred ornamental art from them, this region has now undergone dramatic changes. Between the questionable land dealings and toxic pesticide drift into our homes and school houses at the hands of RD Offutt, to the inhumane animal and worker practices occurring at Jennie-O, our community has had enough.
