Stop Line 3
The Line 3 tar sands pipeline from Alberta, Canada, to Superior, Wisconsin, is facing resistance all along the route and across the continent. This pipeline would carry 760,000 barrels per day of tar sands oil through Anishinaabe treaty territory, some of the last remaining wild rice lakes, and across the headwaters of the Mississippi, before being refined and burned, contributing over $287 billion in climate damages in just the first 30 years of operation. This pipeline would be a disaster for our communities, our water, and our climate, so people are joining together, building on a powerful legacy of Indigenous-led resistance to fossil fuels, to #StopLine3.
