Our summers are getting longer, hotter and drier. Our cities are facing searing, sustained heat that is changing the way we work, live, study and play.

As the climate changes and temperatures rise, the heat build-up in our cities is made worse by treeless streets and heat-absorbing building materials.        

Sweltering Cities is working with communities in our hottest suburbs, helping them organise, campaign and advocate to win more liveable, equitable and sustainable cities. Communities are organising to lobby decision makers and representatives at a local, state and national level to win policies, infrastructure and services that cool our hottest suburbs and protect our most vulnerable community members.
