Tell Ohio Senators to Support the Dolan Amendment! #NoCutsNoHikes
Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) in Ohio pay sales tax on the health services they provide. If MCOs are removed from the sales tax base, as currently planned in the state budget, transit agencies statewide could lose nearly $40 million a year starting in 2019.
GCRTA would take the largest hit, over $20 million each year, with up to 10% service cuts and lay offs.
What can be done?
Thanks to your phone calls, Cuyahoga County Senator Matt Dolan has proposed an amendment that would reset the MCO franchise fee July 1, 2018, to keep the state, counties and transit authorities whole. This is one solution.
Send a letter and call Ohio Senators TODAY to to support Dolan's amendment.
Call Scott Oelslager, Chair of the Ohio Senate Finance Committee at 614-466-0626.
Tell him to support Senator Dolan's MCO Medicaid tax amendment!
