2023 Accountability Act Letter to U.S. Congress

At a time of critical understaffing for the VA healthcare system, the 2023 Restore VA Accountability Act is attempting to jeopardize job security and workplace rights for hundreds of thousands of VA employees. A previous version of this bill, the 2017 Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act, was limited in scope and impact by federal courts and administrative agencies because key provisions of the law were illegally implemented by the VA.

Day in and day out, VA workers provide essential services to our nation’s heroes. Many of these workers are veterans themselves, which allows care providers to build a strong sense of trust with patients and comprehend their unique needs.

It’s time to take action: Urge the U.S. Congress to oppose the 2023 Restore VA Accountability Act and instead focus on real solutions that will protect VA workers and improve access to high-quality care for veterans. Enter your information to get started.
