The Maryland General Assembly is seeking public input on redistricting for our state legislative and congressional/federal election districts. Your public comments will have a direct impact on how our state and federal legislative districts will look for the next ten years. For this reason, several community leaders, organizations, and concerned Eastern Shore residents have come together to form Chesapeake for Redistricting A Better Maryland (CRAB MD)

The main priority of CRAB MD is to ensure fair representation of all citizens on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

After many hours of internal discussions, community input from several local stakeholders, and careful drafting of proposed map boundaries, CRAB MD has final map recommendations for MD’s 1st Congressional District and the state legislative districts on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. These maps ensure fair representation, reflect changing populations, and empower all communities across the Shore.

We ask that you join us in sending a letter to the Legislative Redistricting in support of CRAB MD's map on this page and making a call to Senator Bill Ferguson. We have attached two potential call scripts for your use.
