Thank Maine Legislators for Protecting Access to Health Care

Today the Maine legislature voted for final passage of LD 227, the health care provider shield bill.

This is critical, straightforward legislation that will protect Maine health care providers and access to essential reproductive health care and health care for transgender people.

Please thank the ME legislators who voted Yes on LD 227.

Opponents of this bill, many of them outside of Maine, tried to use disinformation and intimidation to stop it. But a majority of Maine legislators saw through that and stood up for what is right.

Please send those legislators a note of thanks for their clarity and courage, and to let them know we have their backs when they face harassment and threats for doing their job to protect Mainers.
