On Feb 4th, 2021 - Senator John Hickenlooper voted alongside Republicans to exclude tax paying ITIN holders from receiving covid relief in the American Rescue Plan. This amendment would have blocked undocumented workers who pay federal income tax from receiving a stimulus check. Although this amendment was non-binding, and has been overturned by Vice President Harris, Senator Hickenlooper has sent us his message: that he is against our immigrant community.

Excluding undocumented workers who have been on the frontlines of this pandemic is not only unjust, it is cruel and insulting. We must hold Senator Hickenlooper accountable for his despicable actions against the immigrant community.
