Last year, despite what has been said in the media, Delaware Republican State Legislators acted in bad faith when they withheld their votes on the Bond Bill in exchange for a modified minimum wage increase. It resulted in the installment of a youth and training wage in the minimum wage law passed just hours before.

To avoid a State government shutdown, enough Democrats voted for the modification to pass the Bond Bill. This was not a good faith deal, it was a bad faith hostage negotiation and Republicans knew it would be challenged.

Democratic State Legislators are fighting to repeal this legislation before it adversely affects hardworking, struggling families, but they cannot do it alone.
