In the midst of the ongoing attack on reproductive rights across the country, NYU insurance only fully covers "medically necessary" in-network abortions, and they only partially cover elective and out-of-network abortions. Those without insurance or with certain private insurance are left to fend for themselves.  As a result, out-of-pocket costs can exceed $2,000. Even further, the NYU Student Health Center does not offer abortion pills despite the ease of prescribing them. We call on NYU to live up to its values and cover abortion costs to ensure students' right to reproductive healthcare.
