Ask about Bonnie Crombie campaign's anti-Palestinian racism

As we head into a provincial election, we need the parties to know that they will be called out on their anti-Palestinian positions. Last week, a Palestinian woman was interviewed on CBC about the devastation in Gaza and personal losses she has suffered. She referred to it as genocide. The CBC reporter noted that "we cannot use that word to describe what's happening".

Yanick Proulx, Ontario Liberal Party regional vice president for northern Ontario, posted on X/Twitter to agree with the reporter. He wrote: "can't call it a genocide when it isn't."

When Toronto-St Paul's for Palestine challenged Yanick on his post, his response was an arrogant collection of lies and Israeli propaganda. This letter campaign will ask the Liberal Party if they stand by this insulting, racist, biased and untrue perspective or if they'll issue an apology for it.
