Some municipalities in Michigan have banned or restricted certain breeds of dogs in a misguided effort to promote safe communities. Breed specific legislation (BSL) does not work.

Breaking families apart while doing nothing to create safe communities is not ethical. HB 4035 would prohibit local governments from enacting or enforcing an ordinance, policy, resolution, or rule that regulates a dog based upon breed or perceived breed.  

Now, please ask your state senator to support HB 4035.
