Support historic preservation and Black history in Baltimore!

Help Save Our Block! Please send a letter to CHAP and City Officials supporting the preservation of Black homes and historic properties in Poppleton.

We need you to write a letter of support for the revised boundaries of the CHAP Sarah Ann Street Historic District in Poppleton that include the Eaddy properties. The new map for the local historic district is scheduled for a vote at the CHAP hearing on July 12, 2022 at 1pm.

DEADLINE FOR LETTERS is Monday, July 11 at 5pm.

We are fighting to preserve both the Eaddy property at 319 N. Carrolton Ave. (built 1871) and Sarah Ann Street historic properties (built 1870).

CHAP received 168 letters before the April 12 meeting and we were able to get the Commission to put the Eaddy properties on N. Carrollton Ave. back in the local historic district map. We need to show STRONGER support to make sure this row of historic homes is preserved and the local historic district moves forward.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
