Cosponsor H.489 and S.301 to Advance the Common Start Vision!

In the last few years, the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted just how important child care is to the Massachusetts economy. Without access to affordable, high-quality early education and child care, parents and other caregivers struggle to balance work and caring for their children, and children miss out on the learning environments, structure, and stability that sets them up to thrive.

It’s clear - Massachusetts needs access to affordable, high-quality early education and care. And in order to achieve this reality, the Common Start Coalition is supporting two pieces of legislation that will help advance the Common Start vision - H.489 filed by Representatives Gordon and Madaro, and S.301 filed by Senators Lewis and Moran.

Our elected officials need to hear from you, their constituent, directly. Can you take two seconds today to fill out this form and email your state rep and state senator to ask them to cosponsor these two bills? While we have a template email about this legislation, please feel free to include your own personal story - let’s make our voices heard on Beacon Hill.

If you hear back from your legislators, feel free to let us know at info@commonstartma.org, and thank you for taking action with the Common Start Coalition!
