DA Lacey and Sheriff Villanueva are making speculative claims about risks to public safety that jeopardize the lives of thousands of people inside our county jails.

Today we demand both these elected officials quit dragging their feet & answer to the people:

• Jackie Lacey must release the remaining approx. 1700 people from the list of 2000 eligible under the $0 Bail order issued by the California Judicial Council.

• Sheriff Villanueva must release everyone held pre-trial (5,405 ppl), everyone over 50 (1,582), the medically vulnerable (2,988) and those on parole/probation holds (467)

• That they quit the fear mongering, get in step with Los Angeles, and provide community based care for people on release.
