Ask Governor DeSantis to Veto SB 1698

If you followed the legislative session you know at the last minute the Florida Legislature exchanged HB 1613 for SB 1698 – SB 1698 was amended at the last minute to help the CBD industry but the worst parts of the bill remain intact! Even worse, the bill gives 2 Million Dollars to law enforcement to enforce prohibition on products containing Delta 8/10/O/P.

The industry needs a scalpel, not an axe. We agreed to many changes, but this bill is a step too far.

The only way to protect Florida consumers, save the festival space, and keep Florida retailers from becoming felons is to VETO SB 1698

SB 1698 will eliminate any safety controls on Delta 8/10/O/P by outlawing them in Florida.

SB 1698 will cap THC content in hemp products to 5 mg per dose and 50 mg per container.

SB 1698 will have a chilling effect on festivals aimed at the Cannabis Community by leveling heavy fines on organizers.

SB 1698 will burden community events where hemp businesses support farmer's markets, non-profit fairs, and fundraisers by adding extra red tape.
