Encourage Legislators To Invest in Actual Insurance Reforms

Insurance lobbyists are blaming storm victims for higher insurance rates. But the truth is big insurance wants to limit Louisiana policyholders' ability to get their claims paid by cheapening insurance policies and stripping away consumer rights. This is an effort to pad insurance profits at the expense of Louisiana families and small businesses.
Stripping away policyholders' rights and deregulating the market does not address the underlying factors driving Louisiana's insurance crisis, and it will not lower premiums.
Let's encourage our elected representatives to oppose efforts to strip away policyholders’ rights and invest in efforts to mitigate the risks posed by severe weather and support actual insurance reforms that strengthen consumer protections, promote transparency, foster competition, and lower costs.
