Encourage the Senate Judiciary to Support SB458 to modernize the NC Good Samaritan Law

IMPORTANT!

Send letters to the Senate Judiciary Committee to support Senate Bill 458 to modernizing North Carolina’s Good Samaritan law. North Carolina's Good Samaritan Law, originally passed in 2013, was done with good intention but we have learned since then that it is too limited to be effective. A decade has passed, the drug supply has changed, too many people have died from needless overdoses, and this year is the time to reevaluate and modernize our law.

Sen. Hanig, Sen. Moffitt, and Sen. Adock have introduced SB 458, bipartisan legislation to make needed changes to North Carolina’s law. We must eliminate people's fear from getting medical assistance to save someone's life.

We need to be able to give the simple message, especially to our young people, that if an overdose is happening, you should immediately call 911.
