Ensure Transparency as UW Experiments on Endangered Primates

A bill has been introduced in the House and Senate this session that would increase transparency at the University of Washington's National Primate Research Center (WaNPRC), where researchers at the university conduct experiments on endangered primates.

Increased transparency will allow us to increase accountability at the UW, where it continues with its medically unnecessary and outdated tests on Macaques. Please write to the House Postsecondary Education & Workforce Committee and the Senate Higher Education & Workforce Development Committee and politely ask them to please schedule a hearing on this extremely important and timely bill.

You only need a brief sentence or two of encouragement and a request to move the bill forward to a hearing and a vote. Let's get this bill through!

Don't forget to write out your letter after you hit "start writing!" It is important that we personalize our letters so they do not appear to be all the same, thus the request to quickly type out your request in your own words. Your letter will be automatically sent to committee members once you submit.

Thanks! For more information on the WaNPRC, please see here.
