Entertainment Workers Need A Relief Package
The recently enacted Families First Coronavirus Response Act provides relief to many working people, but it does not provide relief for many musicians and other entertainment workers.
Current unemployment insurance benefits are insufficient for entertainment workers and many will also not be eligible for the paid leave expansion in the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. We need a relief package that will address the short-term nature of our work, often for multiple employers. Musicians and others who rely on contract work, tipped jobs, or freelance gigs need access to benefits.
Tell your your congressperson and senators to quickly pass an emergency relief legislation that will help entertainment workers.
