It’s time. Our generation has taken up the decades-long struggle to make the Equal Rights Amendment the 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution. WE NEED THE ERA NOW to protect abortion access and LGBTQ+ rights Nationwide. The ERA can prevent a National Abortion Ban and crackdowns on gender-affirming care and other vital LGBTQ+ rights.

Women, transgender people, and non-binary folks continue to face gender discrimination and exploitation at every level of society. This pattern of gendered oppression has been the most harmful and deadly to women of color, trans, queer, and non-binary people of color. We are calling on you to prioritize the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment in the lame duck period before President Biden leaves office. We call on you to remove the deadline to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment and certify it as the 28th Amendment to the US Constitution. The Feminist Front (FF) is lifting up the call of organizers past and present to end legalized gender discrimination in the United States. • Urge Biden to call on the U.S. Archivist to publish and certify the Equal Rights Amendment as the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution before his term ends on January 20th, 2024

• Pass legislation to remove the deadline from the Equal Rights Amendment in the lame duck period before end of the 118th Congressional session

As representatives, Congress is supposed to represent ALL of its constituents. It is not enough to talk about ending legal gender discrimination, Congress has the power to do it. This has been a decades-long fight fought by generations of powerful organizers and leaders. Our generation cannot wait another minute. Enshrine in our Constitution the long-overdue guarantee of protection from gender discrimination under the law.

We need the ERA Now. I am a constituent writing to you today to ask you to support and pass legislation removing the deadline for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) before President Biden leaves office in January. The bill would allow for the ratification of the ERA, a proposed US constitutional amendment that guarantees the end of gender discrimination by law in the United States. This has been a decades-long fight, we can no longer wait. I am part of a youth movement called #ERANow to finally make the Equal Rights Amendment a reality, in our generation.

We need you to enshrine in our Constitution the long overdue gurantee of protection from gender discrimination under the law.
