It has been more than 7 years and NC has more PFAS contamination, and more data on our PFAS contamination than any other -- YET, there are no limits, no laws, no regulations. UNTIL NOW, MAYBE. The Dpt. of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has proposed limits on 3 PFAS in groundwater but the Environmental Management Commission (EMC) needs to approve this. This is the FIRST step toward STOPPING PFAS AT THE SOURCE and will pave the way for standards on surface water like the Cape Fear River.

Some members on the EMC are not inclined to pass these standards. The EMC NEEDS TO HEAR FROM YOU.
