Fix the rules to protect working families

Minneapolis has a lot going for it, but working people, especially hourly workers, keep getting the short end of the stick. When we are given a work schedule that constantly changes or are told to work hours but don’t get paid, that’s not fair. Our hard work should be recognized and rewarded so that we have an economy that works for all.

That’s why city leaders are acting. They are proposing to fix the workplace rules to make sure we are paid the right amount for the hours we work, we are able to earn paid time off when we are sick and we get stable, fair work schedules so we can plan our lives and meet our responsibilities.
