Governor Murphy is presently being covered by national media. He is using his perceived status as an environmental justice leader to launch his next endeavors right now. We must remind him environmental justice must start here in New Jersey; throughout the state, vulnerable residents are ever fighting, screaming to be heard only to be met with delayed promises. 2 years since the landmark environmental justice legislation, and still leaders like Newark's Maria Lopez-Nunez (Waterspirit's 2022 Sister Suzanne Golas Spirit of Water Award winner) must speak out to the press asking him to #StopDumpingOnNewark -- It is our duty to add new voice to this clarion call: environmental justice now!
