The City Council will have a public hearing for changes in the Unified Development Ordinance around cottage standards and flag lots on March 11. When this item came to up in September, it was postponed because too little community engagement had occurred, especially within legacy neighborhoods that might be impacted. The only evidence that additional community engagement has been done since then is an indication that the Shiloh community has been specifically excluded from the proposed cottage standard changes. Were other neighborhoods consulted? Are they in agreement with these changes? These questions must be asked before these changes can be approved.
