HB 1058 Finance Committee
Providing options for funding the Arts as they struggle to survive the current crisis is critical. Opportunities to access the Arts for underrepresented communities is equally important. House Bill 1058 provides responses for both of these concerns.
HB1058 will not only provide access to the arts, it will provide support to help these organizations and workers return from this devastating pandemic. It will create opportunities for new people to not only have cultural experiences they've previously been denied, it will provide a means for those who become engaged to pursue a career in the arts.
Currently, the bill is pending in the House Finance Committee. It needs to pass out of the committee and move to the floor by the February 22nd deadline. Reach out to your representatives on the House Finance Committee TODAY, and ask them to support the bill and pass it through the committee.
