On Tuesday 15th august, Jason Thaxter hung himself on B wing in HMP Whitemoor.

This is following the prison bringing in the riot team on Monday 14th August to assault prisoners and force them to move cells.

The prison has already begun covering the truth, telling prisoners Jason was "found unconscious" putting his death down to a drug overdose, in an attempt to blame the victim.

HMP Whitemoor is past breaking point. Prisoners are being forced to stay in their cells upwards of 22 hours a day, as the new "red regime" is implemented. Prisoners are having their visits systemically interfered with to further isolate and alienate them.

This is all part of a brutal deliberate regime. Is it a surprise use of spice is increasing as people try to cope?

Prisoners, in response, are protesting almost daily against the brutal conditions they are being forced to endure.
