International Hockey Federation must reverse decision to ban Israel from competitions

Following pressure from pro-Israeli and Jewish activists and groups, the IIHF reversed their decision to ban Israel from Ice Hockey Championship. In an official statement the IIHF announced on Jan. 17, 2024 that the Israeli Ice Hockey Team will be allowed to compete in upcoming 2024 IIHF in Bulgaria. Having previously announced that Israel was banned from world hockey championships for "security reasons", now the IIHF is saying that magically all the "security issues" were solved and Israel can participate.

The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has decided to ban Israel from competitions due to “security concerns”. The hockey federation "has decided to restrict the Israeli National Team from participating in IIHF Championships until the safety and well-being of all participants (including Israeli participants) can be assured."
The decision means that Israel's U20 team will not be able to participate in the Division III world championship later this month in Bulgaria and Bosnia, and that the national women's team will not be able to participate in the Division III world championship in Estonia in March.
The decision constitutes severe anti-Israel discrimination in direct breach of IIHF's own Code of Ethics which forbids discrimination against a "group of persons by whatever means, including on grounds of race, skin color, gender, ethnic, national or social origin, religion, philosophical or political opinion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender orientation or other grounds."
The International Ice Hockey Federation's decision to exclude Israel from international competition is an unusual, very grave step that does not meet any international sporting standard and is completely antithetical to Olympic values. With its decision, the federation is lending support to terror and to the massacre of children and the elderly in their beds, in their homes.
Please send a letter to the IIHF and the International Olympic Committee demanding that they will reverse their decision and allow Israelis to participate in the upcoming Championships.
