Minnesota is a state of abundance and we have what we need to care for each other.

Although Minnesota’s budget landscape has improved and critical federal funds are coming, these are only temporary. The dual crises of the COVID pandemic and subsequent economic recession have highlighted the long-standing inequities in opportunity for our Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. At the same time, many people and businesses with higher incomes and more resources have seen their wealth and profits grow.

Minnesotans come together for each other. We must call on policymakers to raise sustainable and new state revenues. It makes sense for those with the most resources to pay a bit more so all of us can find our way through today’s challenges and build a more equitable future.
