HB 568 would result in DPA absorbing the Louisville Public Defenders Office. While we respect and admire our Public Defender Colleagues at DPA, we feel this bill has been hastily slapped together without considering the financial ramifications for the state, as well as the very serious consequences to our clients in Louisville KY. We are asking folks to send an email to their state rep to vote NO on HB 568.
