Michigan Covid cases are rising steeply. Hospital systems are at capacity and medical professionals are begging for help from our citizens and our government. Covid cases are high among the 5-18 year old age group and, due to low vaccination rates, are also driving community spread. Covid outbreaks among staff and students are forcing schools and whole districts across the state to close, causing loss of educational opportunities for students. Our state leaders need to take urgent action to protect Michiganders during this pandemic surge.
