New FL Bill Aims To Further Restrict the Ballot Initiative Process

Florida already has the most stringent process for getting citizens-led amendments on the ballot and passing them. HB 1205 (https://www.flhouse.gov/sections/bills/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=81899) aims to make the process even harder for everyday Floridians to participate in.

The bill has received its first committee of reference in the House of Representatives. The bill could be killed if Representative Linda Chaney does not schedule the bill.
